EATING FRIED POTATOES TWICE A WEEK ASSOCIATED WITH INCREASED RISK OF PREMATURE DEATH

Fried potatoes or French fries potatoes is a finger food that everyone loves to eat, but for some study shown that frequently consuming of fries can increased mortality rates. According to a group of scientist from UK and Italy, for eating a delicious potato fries many times can increase the risk of life-threatening diseases. This study based on another research which lasted for 8 years and examined more than 4440 participators.

After a thorough examination, a group of scientist learned that those who consumed most potatoes are harmless from any risk of premature death, unlike those who ate fries few times in a week unfortunately were. This goes for all the kinds of fries like French fries, tater tots, brown patties and etc. It’s fortunate for all fries lovers that the study is very helpful knowledge as their many factors must be taken into consideration such as obesity, excess sodium consumption and an inactive lifestyle.

According to Dr. Nicola Veronese, the leader who conducted an examination, that the fries are often eaten with cheese, hamburger, and soda, these combined foods influence a big part of increased mortality rate as well. In an observational study, we believe that using cooking oil for frying has rich in trans-fat that has highly dangerous compounds which can increase the LDL cholesterol in the blood and have been connected with many health problems.

Fortunately, there are still many ways to appreciate for eating potatoes, if fries are not good. You can make some steamed, mashed, or baked potatoes and you will enjoy them without worrying any harmful illnesses and increased risk of premature death.
