CAREFUL! Gelatin-Injected Shrimp Is Now Being Sealed On Market!


If you always buy on market, you will always choose the one who looks fresh and by its grams. But what if you know there's unwanted thing injected through your food? Read this article about a shop in Shanghai who experienced this kind of scam.


A shopper in Shanghai reported that he find something unwanted inside his freshly-purchased shrimp.


According to Shanghaiist, the man brought home his freshly-purchased shrimp and peeled it open just to see a translucent, jelly-like substance spilling out of its body.


It is believed that because shrimp tend to shrivel upon defrosting, so some market owners get an idea to pump them with gelatin to make it look fresh and plump.

Adding additives on it can increase its weight by 20 or 30 percent.

Gelatin is safe to consume but some have speculated that industrial glue may be added to it which is not safe and could be harmful to human body.


Reporters warned the public to inspect the fresh shrimp at markets to detect any unusual "bulging" action.!
