The woman thought he could run away with the money by changing her face. Her name was Zhu Najuan, 59 years old, but she didn't succeed.
Chinese police officials successfully arrested the now 30-year-old looking woman in her new home in the southern Chinese city of Shenzhen.
Zhu had debts about 25 million Yuan or approximately 3.71 million US dollars and has a pending court case in Wuhan, Hubei Province, ordering her to pay off her debt.
"We were very surprised at the scene...she looked in her thirties and was different from the photos we had," one policeman said in a report posted on China's state-owned Xinhua news agency.
She goes to Shenzen this year trying to escape with her debt and hoping to start a new life with her new face in different identity, however, the police manage to track her down and successfully arrested her.
Being arrested, Zhu admitted that she is using other people's identity cards to travel the country via train.
Zhu also admitted that she manages to have plastic surgery by borrowing bank cards from unidentified individuals.
She is now facing a series of crimes including cases like fraud or identity theft with her original pending court order to pay her debt.
Ever since China opened its door to a lending world in 2014, many Chinese people have been borrowing not knowing the consequences and ending up drowning in million of debts.
Reports also said that Chinese people use different techniques and odd things trying to escape their responsibility of paying their debts.
Chinese police are now launched a manhunt operation to track down other individuals who have the same case of having debts from lending companies.
